School/Public Libraries

In this episode, we talk to librarians who run two of Wisconsin’s co-located public libraries.

First, Steev talks with Kay Heiting, director of the Granton Community Library (and school district library media specialist). Then, Shauna interviews Bobbie Kuehn from the Denmark Branch of the Brown County Library. We learn about some of the challenges of trying to serve the community from within a public school. These kinds of libraries are rare in Wisconsin, and we try to explain why that is and talk about what it means to be co-located.
